Do it Anyway: A Poem for Phenomenal Women
Feel insecure? Do it anyway.
Feel intimidated? Do it anyway.
Afraid to set boundaries? Do it anyway.
Does the kaleidoscope of your complex mind trick you into over scrutinizing and agonizing over the silliest of things? Rotate the chamber now.
Embrace the now.
Anything in the past can be tossed up to being young and trying to figure life out.
Forgive yourself.
You’re a beautiful evolution.
Afraid to turn the chapter? Do it anyway.
Are you dreading the cold water? Swim anyway.
You’ll warm up to it.
You’ll warm up to a lot of things.
Whether that be love, new friendships, a new hobby, or even yourself…
Learn to be kinder to yourself. Does self-compassion create tension with your harsh inner critic that roars loud in the night time?
Turn on the lights and grab those acrylic paints and release that monster across the canvas, and let those tears flow baby.
You can’t control your emotions.
Not without negative repercussions…
At least that’s what my therapists says, anyway. XD
False realities aren’t conducive to the pursuit of happiness. So let go of the self-criticism that ravages your phenomenal femininity.
Self-acceptance disrupts destructive patterns.
Self-trust allows you to flourish.
It’s never too late to be what you “might have been.”
