Start-ups in Brazil Running for R$200k of Financing
Start-ups that develop or use software, hardware, and information technology services can compete for one of the 50 grants of up to R$200,000 offered by the Start-Up Brasil program of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC) — in the total, R$9.7 million will be invested.
To be eligible, startups must have a maximum of four years of service and must choose among their members a coordinator group to register on the Lattes Platform and have a formal link with the startup. Do not be alarmed by the formality of the government: it does not necessarily have to be an employment or functional bond, just an official document that proves the connection.
The result will be released on November 30 by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), which will be responsible for judging the proposals. Registration ends on September 25 and can be done here.
