Hand holding a cup of coffee with heart-shape latte art, sun shining, over a garden view from a Juliette balcony.
There’s only three pouring techniques needed to achieve this latte art.

Here you’ll learn why I created Latte Lessons, who will enjoy it the most, what drinks you can learn to make, equipment, and where to go from here.

Why Latte Lessons

Once the Covid pandemic came into full swing and I started working from home indefinitely, I began to crave that rich, silky smooth coffee you can only get with a “proper” machine. Sure, drip coffee wasn’t half bad and a Moka Pot had a good kick, but that was only half the battle.

All I wanted was a decent Flat White.

By the end of the year I did some research, took the plunge on a Sage Bambino machine, and got to work. I pulled a shot, frothed up some milk… and the coffee was just plain yucky. Disappointing.

I mean, I still drank it, but there was a long road ahead to get it “proper”.

Over 18 months later I’m still perfecting my latte art, but I’m pleased that my foundations are solid enough for a decent coffee every single day. I’ve scoured the internet for tutorials, tips, and tricks to get here, but I realised there wasn’t a single place I learned it…
