We believe democracy is the best form of government available. But it only works properly when voters have access to information. Around the world, more governments are becoming less democratic and at the same time limiting the public’s ability to hold them accountable.

If you have information you believe the public should know, we’d like to hear from you. We’re interested in shining a light on governments and businesses in all countries, and we’re willing to collaborate with other respected journalists around the world to provide the greatest impact.

To contact us, we use ProtonMail, a Switzerland-based encrypted email client. You may also wish to use a VPN before creating accounts or uploading anything to the internet. TunnelBear is one freemium VPN service.

Here’s how it works:

  • Create an anonymous account at ProtonMail. (ProtonMail does not ask for identifying information and does not save metadata, such as your IP address.)
  • Send your email to us at latterlydrop@protonmail.com. (ProtonMail uses end-to-end encryption.)
  • We’ll respond to your email within one to two days.

If you’re not as concerned about security but still want to send us a tip, you can still reach us at latterlydrop@protonmail.com from your regular email client.
