Seeking Labor Secretary: Must be willing to defend workers

Donald Trump is going to put lobbyists out of business—but only because he wants to let the executives govern directly.
Corporate appointments include Jared Kushner (Kushner Companies), Rex Tillerson (ExxonMobil), Stephen Bannon (Breitbart News), Steve Mnuchin (Goldman Sachs), Betsy DeVos (Amway), Wilbur Ross (leveraged buyouts) and on and on. If the nomination of Ross wasn’t enough of a slap in the face of the American worker (his nomination hasn’t yet been confirmed), Andrew Puzder apparently was.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer: “Puzder should never have even been nominated to lead the Labor Department and senate Republicans clearly recognized this too. The fact that someone so anti-labor was even nominated shows how far President Trump is from where he campaigned. If President Trump is remotely serious about standing up for workers, he will nominate someone for Labor Secretary that champions workers’ rights rather than suppresses them.”
