Meet Oscar Lhermitte, Launch Studio Expert
Oscar is a Paris-based product designer and entrepreneur who works with startups, businesses and creative studios to turn their projects into products.
He is the co-founder and director of Sidekick. A crowdfunding consultancy that has helped numerous creators launch projects on Kickstarter. These have ranged from consumer products, to games, books, fashion accessories, and digital fabrication tools.
Through his design studio, Oscar has launched six of his own products on crowdfunding. His most ambitious project, MOON, is a topographically accurate lunar globe. To this day, it remains one of my favorite campaigns, and features a canonical project video.
Oscar also works with clients, providing product design services informed by a thoughtful perspective on contemporary cultural and economic systems.
In recognition of his contributions to the Kickstarter creator community, Oscar was invited to join the Kickstarter Thought Leaders program in 2017. He was also the driving force behind Quickstarter, a creative prompt adopted by Kickstarter to inspire creators to launch small projects.
