We love our community of founders and friends. Last week it was the West Coast’s turn so VP Jason Gray and Managing Director Cliff Sirlin joined Dave Shen, Tom Egan and our founders and friends in San Francisco.

We got together at the DoubleDutch offices — one of our first investments back in 2008! Since 2008, LaunchCapital has invested in 53 companies in the SF area who have raised over $700m and created over 2,000 jobs!

Tom Egan, Principal at LaunchCapital and new dad to six-week old Tommy Jr., helped kick things off and spoke to the group about his interest and investments in vertical data startups.

Dave Shen, LaunchCapital’s Director in the SF Bay Area, talked about how great it is to be able to get everyone together to create and foster relationships within our network.

(Did you know Dave just wrote a new book? It’s called Takeover! The Inside Story of the Yahoo! Ad Revolution and you can sign up here to know when it’s released.)

In keeping with the collaborative style of our other Founder events, we had small group break-out sessions to have meaningful conversations about Product, Go-to-Market strategies, Fundraising and Hiring.

Here Dave is working through Product discussions with James Norman of Pilotly.

And it wasn’t just Bay Area Founders — Helen Lee (below, of ImpactHealth) joined us from Los Angeles — here she’s talking with Managing Director Cliff Sirlin.

Below Jennifer O’Neal (Tripping) and Cliff spent time discussing what it takes to bring a successful company to even greater heights.

It was great to spend time together. Below you’ll see Tom joining Arian Evans (on the left) and Chanddeep Madaan, both from Karmic Labs, to celebrate their latest round of financing and their nationwide partnership with Lowe’s on their Lowe’s PreLoad card.

So much to celebrate now, and lots of work hard and accomplishments to celebrate going forward. Thanks SF!
