When you hire a lawyer, there will be some paperwork involved.

Don’t be intimidated by the sound of an “engagement letter” or a “fee agreement” — they are very common letters that you sign with your lawyer before he or she starts on your issue. Similarly, if you’ve already hired a lawyer, know that “closing letters” are documents that lawyers generally send out at the end of your case or deal.
