While there are a lot of great tips about preparing for law school exams, it is important that you don’t forget to take care of yourself during this time. Here are some fun snacks to keep your brain going that you can totally personalize as you desire:

  • Trail Mix: Try somewhere like bulk barn and get a variety of dry fruits, nuts, seeds, candy, etc. that suit your diet, needs, and preferences and make your own trail mix! This is a great grab and go for busy days and a quick pick-me-up!
  • Frozen fruit: This one may sound weird but seriously, buy some grapes and freeze them… It’s nature’s candy!
  • Apples and peanut butter: Easy and nutritious snack, and if you’re allergic, there are great alternatives as well but this serves as great brain food.
  • Roasted chickpeas: This is one of my go-to snacks. You can buy them from any grocery store or make them yourself with your favourite seasoning
  • Pretzel chips + hummus: This is one of my new favourites this year. I like to make my own hummus but buying it is just as good and if you buy the big pretzel chips bag from Costco you won’t regret it.
  • Stews/chilli/curry: A great option during exam prep or exams is a meal that you make a big portion of and can reheat. You can customize to whatever dietary needs/preferences you have!
  • Baked oats/overnight oats: The internet is full of recipes for anything you might like… chocolate, cinnamon, apples etc. put what you want in it and it’s a great breakfast or snack option! Just depends what you like and whether you like it warm or cold.
  • Egg bites: Be your own Starbucks and make some egg bites as per your liking for a great boost of protein.
  • Protein balls: Last but not least, protein balls are such a great way to get your sweet tooth fixing but also give you energy! Balance right?

Don’t forget, as nice as it is to eat fruits and vegetables all day, some chips, ice cream and cake are also good options. Keep yourself moving and eating well and you’re already partially on your way to rocking your exams and assignments! :)
