Hello Friends,

Good news, we are not dead!

Not dead hype!

We want to extend a huge thank you to all of you for using Layer One so actively. It means the world that you guys are enjoying the site.

Sorry it has been so long since our last blog post. We decided to toss our old posts and just go with Medium. It’s a bit easier for us to manage as far as blog posts go.

Lets Catch Up

There have been a lot of things going on behind the scenes to get everything ready for our public facing solution. Our last big patch was late June. We rewrote the vast majority of our software to manage dashboards. It smoothed out some of the interaction and let us add a few larger features.

Snapshot of today’s build

Dashboard Moderators

http://layerone.io/settings/

With our recent patch we added in Dashboard Moderators (name is a WIP.) You can now grant permissions based access to your most trusted chat moderators, staff, managers, assistants and friends. They will be able to access the information you provide them, as well update titles, run commercials, push feed posts, edit notes and more. There is more to come with this feature and hopefully a nice little perk for the next patch as well.

The tech that allowed us to offer dashboard moderators also gave us the ability to allow you to configure additional dashboards. It was brought to our attention that some of you may want multiple windows up along with the ability to have different configurations. Having access to multiple dashboards allows you to do just that.

Dashboard

Move/Resize Dashboard button

The last few patches we have been trying different things with the edit button for your dashboard. We think with this patch we are closer but still have a few ideas in the works to improve this feature. You can now find the “move/resize” button on the top right next to the dashboards menu.

New Cards

This week we introduce one new dashboard card. We had a big push on our last update and will have another big push on the next one. For this week however, meet your clock :). We will be updating this with more features as needed.

What’s Next

We have been gearing up for our next big release which will focus more on offline features. This will include analytic tools, stats and one or two other little caveats for moderators. We’re also in the process of redoing the way that you add and remove cards to your dashboard. The first steps of that was rolled out this patch (7/8/16.) A little bit further out we have new services you will love, new ways to interact with your community and so much more.

TL;DR

Not dead (yay)
New toys (also, yay)
More new toys on the way (very yay)
Expect more blog posts soon.
Parrots!

Parrots not currently available on Layer One.

As always all feedback is welcomed. Please never hesitate to reach out.

Much love,
