Layer One: What’s Next
Hi all,
I wanted to start off by thanking everyone that has been using our platform the last year, it has been such a whirlwind. We are at 35,000 registered users and it is mind blowing to have seen our little site have grown so much.
This passed Wednesday (October 3rd, 2018) StreamLabs announced that they will be releasing an app store within SreamLabs OBS (SLOBS.) Layer One will be launch partners for this platform. As a result we have been neck deep prepping a few apps for the initial release as well as others to release at later dates. Our goal with these apps and the upcoming releases with SLOBS is to enrich the lives of both broadcasters & the viewers that engage with those features.
That brings us to the topic of this post. The next few months for Layer One will bring some changes. With the release of the Live Dashboard for SLOBS we will be closing down the dashboard on the website. We want to deliver the best experience possible for our products and we have reached a point where we do not feel we can deliver for our site as well as we can within SLOBS.
We will be keeping the site open for an additional month after the release of Live Dashboard to allow for plenty of time to transition.
For the Plus users, we want to show our gratitude. You have enabled us to continue working on our passion for so long & we want to give back. We’re sorting out logistics with the StreamLabs team still, but our goal is to give you a few months free to make sure the new version is right for you.
We’re going to continue working on overlays, tools, and other fun software for streamers. We have a handful of other announcements coming out between now and the end of the year as well. The gif below is a preview of some of our upcoming products.
Our goal is to ensure the success of our clients & we feel that the future of this is with the upcoming StreamLabs release. They have truly opened up the doors for us to deliver high quality products to you & your viewers. Stay tuned, more info will be sent out over the coming couple of weeks so we can make the transition for our platform as easy as possible.
