Here at the Layer One remote offices around the world, we are continually cranking out new stuff for you to play with. If last week’s Schedule Extension customization wasn’t enough, this week we added a few new useful ways of controlling your dashboard. All of them are designed to allow you to quickly optimize your dashboard or improve your interface experience. So with that, let’s begin our improvement tour!

Locking Dashboard Cards

Some of you may have experienced a particularly aggravating dashboard bug affecting moving cards around in edit mode. This week we not only rooted out the source and fixed it, we decided that wasn’t enough. We spiced things up with a way to lock a card completely down. When you lock a card, it can no longer be moved or resized. It also can’t be moved by another card moving over it so once you’ve found the perfect spot for chat, lock it and it won’t move while you arrange cards around it. To lock a card, enter editing mode, hover over the card and click the lock icon.

New Dashboard editing options added

Creature comforts are important to us, so we’ve added some additional options while in dashboard edit mode.

You can now “Cancel Save,” which will revert any changes, deletions, and additions done to the dashboard prior to going into edit mode. We’ve also added “Delete All Cards”, which will remove all cards on the dashboard, giving you a fresh canvas. To use these options, go into Edit Mode and click the settings button next to the save.

Change log

  • Ability to lock a dashboard card. This will be saved into the dashboard and remembered
  • Ability to “Cancel Changes” to a dashboard
  • Ability to “Delete All Cards” from a dashboard
  • Updated Login button for mobile view
  • Resolved some Twitter UI issues when composing a new Tweet
  • Animating page changes (Will be watching this and evolving over time)
  • Removed some text issues on the settings page
  • Fixed “Audience List” dashboard card from showing an incorrect state on load

TwitchCon 2017 is approaching and the whole team is gearing up. We hope to see you there! As always, we’re eager to hear your feedback on Twitter & Discord

Cheers and Donuts,
The Layer One Team
