Announcing Layer, the new name of the Pin Protocol

Due to the unfortunate circumstance of a similar-named scam project named “Pincoin,” which we have no relation to, we have decided to re-brand our project.

From today, Pin will be known as Layer (“LRX”).

Layer is a global decentralized reputation protocol that connects sharing economy providers. It consists of a reputation and rewards engine and a token called LRX, which work hand-in-hand to let asset providers within the sharing economy record positive and negative rental behavior in a normalized manner. LRX tokens are issued when positive behavior is recorded, and the recorded user behaviors are algorithmically transformed into reputation scores, referenceable by asset providers using Layer Protocol. LRX also has built in arbitration and voting engines, driven by the LRX tokens, to help with self-governance.
