One year old

Last month, on 15 January, Layers Studio celebrated turning one. Well, actually, it was a Sunday and we did nothing special. But it felt significant when we realised the following Friday in our ‘local’, which is in fact nothing like a local because it’s a food serving city centre bar. But I digress.

If we were to go back 12 months, there’d be James and James only. One man at one desk in a shared space. The days were darker then although James might disagree. As months ticked over and into summer, Andrew and Chris joined in June and Layers had its layers philosophy in house and in action.

Now, having made it through and out the other end of a Christmas, Layers is very much a four-piece with Ryan adding his exceptional Front-end skills to the team at the beginning of November 2016.

So it’s one year and four talents (writer / designer / back-end dev / front-end dev) sat in their office in Campus North. Progress, I guess. And this might be the least interesting piece I’ve written, but if I don’t keep writing the blog will officially become obsolete. So I’m writing .

And we’re one — got it.
