As you may know, LCB is now in the process of rulemaking for the Social Equity Program, including updating the scoring rubric for applicants.

Some government agencies in Washington, if given authority by the Legislature, can write and update the state rules — also known as the Washington Administrative Code (WAC). Rulemaking helps better define the laws passed during legislative sessions.

We want to hear from you!

We want your input on the proposed Social Equity rule updates and will be holding feedback sessions this month so we can hear from you.

What will be covered during the sessions?

  • The first session on May 15 will primarily focus on feedback on the draft scoring rubric criteria, point allocation, and documentation to demonstrate eligibility.
  • The second session on May 22 will focus on feedback on the draft rule language necessary to implement social equity legislation.

Please note that feedback will be limited to comments specifically about the proposed rule changes. We respectfully ask everyone who attends to focus only on these topics.
