Updated Alpha Promotion for Twitch Users

About a month ago, we announced that if you had a current Twitch subscription to Nerdist or Geek & Sundry with an original subscribe date on or before 9/28/2016 that you’ll be gifted a 6-month free membership to Alpha.

We’re going to be making some changes to the offer (for the better).

All current Nerdist or G&S Twitch subscribers that subscribed on or before 11/17/2016 GMT will receive a free 6-month membership to Alpha.

When Twitch Prime was made available on 9/30/2016, the original subscribe date available from the Twitch API changed for those that had cancelled their existing Twitch subscription in lieu of the Twitch Prime subscription. This made it impossible to identify long-term subscribers that would be eligible for our promotion. That would have sucked and is why we are making this change.

Here are the details:

• If you subscribed on or before 11/17/2016 GMT to either of our Twitch channels (Nerdist or Geek & Sundry), you will receive a free 6-month membership to Alpha.
• If you let your Twitch subscription lapse before redeeming your offer, you will not be eligible for this promotion.
• You must redeem this offer before 12/31/2016. To redeem, sign up at projectalpha.com after 11/17. You must authorize via your Twitch account to claim your free 6-month membership.
