The highlight of Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s show was the crossbody bags, duffels, and wristlets in the form of plushie bears, bunnies and rhinoceroses. Yasuhiro featured t-rex shaped bags in his last collection, expanding to a whole forest of creatures for spring/summer 2025. While the animal motifs act as a nod to Yasuhiro’s own infant child, the way the models clung to the plushies attributed to a sense of vulnerability, reminiscent of a kid just woken up from a bad dream, reaching for their favorite teddy bear for comfort.

Amiri got his guests giddy with excitement by sending out toy drums as invites to this season’s Jazz In The Park collection. Though he had already introduced his drum machine bags in his fall/winter 2023 show, this season’s accessories were actually meant to be played with. With Mike Amiri’s sons in attendance, the collection’s combination of vintage paisley prints and embroidered florals created a Sound Of Music x streetwear crossover event the world never knew it needed.

Hot take: Jonathan Anderson’s eponymous brand is Loewe’s inner child. While the latter, whom Anderson joined as creative director for in 2013, is the definition of regality and sophistication (Loewe is known for being the official designer for Spanish royalty), JW Anderson’s own brand is defined by its unconventionality, taking form in cheekily-shaped micro leather goods. Anderson stayed true to his jubilant nature this season by purposefully making his clothes appear too big and intentionally mismatched, much like when a child raids their parents’ wardrobes, establishing a fashion identity entirely on their own terms.
