Picture your name on a U.S. Supreme Court case. Your dad staked his life and legacy on it, comparing the issue to slavery, losing 5-4. But exactly 30 years later, he’s vindicated as the court now supports him 6-3.

Imagine you are named after your father, built your entire career around your shared name, and virtually repeated his career trajectory. Wouldn’t you at least acknowledge his role in the most significant social issue of recent history?

The two Bob Caseys identify as pro-life but sound very different

U.S. Sen. Bob Casey Jr., the heir to his father’s 1992 Planned Parenthood vs. Casey case, ignored all that in the weeks since the court ruled 6-3 in the Dobbs case concluding Casey and 1973’s Roe vs. Wade were “wrongly decided” and “must be overruled.” The ruling cites Casey 156 times.

Sen. Casey’s office doesn’t mention the family connection but issued language nearly identical to every other Democratic U.S. senator and governor:
