Bite sized leadership advice

Knowing isn’t the same as doing. We know we should eat less and exercise more, but do we?

We know we should be emotionally intelligent and that takes time and effort, but do we?

It is easy to know things, but hard to actually do them.

This small insight makes all the difference …

Small steps are easier to take than big ones.

That is it! Simple.

Big leaps are hard to do, hard to sustain, feel risky and a whole bunch of arguments and reasons why now is not the time.

Break changes into small steps. Manageable ones.

Maybe walk around the block after dinner rather than run 10 miles.

Break the change you want to make into small steps, then do them one at a time. Build your confidence.

When you look back at the journey you have achieved you will be surprised at how far you have come.

This is part of our Leadership Wizdom series, bite sized leadership advice for leaders who wish to improve their leadership, but don’t have much time. For more indepth articles check out The Change Wizard
