Bite sized leadership advice

The act of positive thinking is a powerful form of resilience and renewal.

Thinking positive thoughts ensures that the feel-good hormones and chemicals flood through your body to mitgate the damage done by the chronic stress we often survive on as Leaders.

To be the best leader you need to be the best you. To be the best you, you need to look after yourself. Thinking positively keeps you in a creative, flexible and open minded mode.

As a bonus, people want to hang out with positive people, by being more positive you will have more impact as a leader.

Build the habit of converting negative thoughts into positive.

Make it a habit. As you spot the negative thought forming in your mind, you will start to notice the stress chemicals flood through your body. Catch it, quickly!

Once you catch it, pivot the thought to a positive one. Over time you will build up examples of positive thoughts you can use.

  • Problems become opportunities.
  • Missing your bus becomes a mindful moment
  • Mistakes become part of lifes learning; everyday is a school day

The more you practice the easier it becomes. Keep your positivity authentic.

Each time you think something positive you mayfind yourself smiling and notice the positive endorphins spreading through your body.

In tough times think about what you are grateful for.

Hang out with positive people to charge your energy.
