We’ve been featured!
#TOTD: Community <=> Communication.
Overjoyed to announce that the Leading Women publication has been featured in a Women in Tech list by the Medium Editors, and has since amassed over 1k followers in such a short span of time!
Check out some of the other really cool publications on this list :) And of course, I’d love it if you had a look at ours ;)
The publication is all about gender equality and raising the visibility of #leadingwomen; this can be in academia, industry, social responsibility, any walk of life!
We’re really keen to share a diverse range of uplifting stories and opinions, and engage in healthy debates/discussions — so I would love to see some stories from guys too hint hint
We’ve had some amazing pieces so far:
Alice Bentinck of EF talks about the founding of CodeFirst: Girls:
A stellar piece by Lydia Frank that is a must-read:
And a really insightful piece by Sterling King on the fashion industry:
And so much more!
If you wanted to check out some of my writing for the publication, check out our interviews, and my blog on a Girls in Tech and Inspiring Fifty mentoring session at 10 Downing Street:
Also, I wrote a piece on storytelling and community at Clotho for the 3Beards blog recently. Check it out here:
As always, if you’re interested in contributing to Leading Women, tweet the society at @UCLULWS!
(My time on the committee is up, but I’m sticking around as the resident tech guru (i.e. web dev))
