UFV CityStudio Launch

The City of Abbotsford is about to be examined by fresh set of eyes. Make that many sets of eyes.

UFV and the City of Abbotsford are launching CityStudio, an initiative harnessing the energy and creativity of students, guided by faculty and city staff, to address civic challenges in Abbotsford.

From reducing litter in parks, to beautifying public utilities, students will tackle an array of real-world projects. By launching experimental solutions students gain valuable experience and marketable skills.

It launched in 2011 as a collaboration between the City of Vancouver and the city’s public post-secondary institutions and is part of a global shift in education that provides practical learning experiences to help students get jobs and change the world. CityStudio Vancouver is the first of its kind in Canada and unique around the world.
