Two thought-provoking days on identity design

Symbiosis Institute of Design — Pune organised a National Seminar on Identity Design under “Chhap”, between 21st and 23rd Jan’16 at SID, Pune. Professionals & Academicians from the industry participated in this seminar and workshop. Sumit Patel was invited to share his valuable knowledge with the students in the form of a workshop facilitator and presenter during the seminar.

He spoke on innovative ideas for identity in digital media & mobile. His workshop focussed on the thinking process that evolves from identifying an idea, defining the brand essence and bringing it alive through the visual representation of the idea. It branched out into a group exercise, where each got the choice to pick their own subject and lead it through the desired output, while collectively going through an interactive and common design process. As a result, students went through a thinking process to achieve clarity and focus and experience the role of designer in the world of entrepreneurial practice.
