INGAME UPDATES

In-game content is a backbone to support any game ecosystem, and League of Kingdoms is no exception. The year of 2023 saw the launch of intriguing in-game content, most notably the Drago in-game integration, the Season of Legends update in July, and many more; Here are some of them.

Fortune hunting Dragos

In the dynamic landscape of 2023, League of Kingdoms experienced a whirlwind of thrilling updates and advancements! The year kicked off with the much-anticipated integration of Drago within the game, a game-changing addition that had Drago owners eagerly anticipating its seamless integration into gameplay. The excitement reached new heights with the launch of the Drago Mystery Box event, collaborating with over 50+ partners to offer participants the chance to secure Legendary and normal Dragos, level 6 land, and a host of enticing rewards. Fast forward to March 31st, and the official unveiling of the Drago update took center stage. Drago NFTs unlocked a plethora of in-game content, enabling players to mine Dragon Soul Amber, a crucial element for forging the game’s in-game token — Dragon Soul Token (DST).

THE GRAND DRAGO UPDATE

The update also brought forth Drago’s level-up feature, enhancing its capabilities to reinforce troops on the battlefield. The Genesis Drago commenced breeding, contributing to an active count of over 28,000 Dragos in the game. But that’s not all! Shortly after the update, Drago rental was introduced, marking a unique milestone in the web3 gaming ecosystem. We seamlessly integrated the rental feature into the game, ensuring it’s simple yet effective, allowing users of all levels to afford a Drago and become part of our thriving game ecosystem.

Season of Legends

The Season of Legends is an update unlocked new Tier 6 type troops, powerful mythic treasures, higher-level buildings, Platinum chests, and more! The new 6-tier troops and Mythic treasures bring unique skills that can change the course of battle even in dire situations. Continent Versus Continent Updates

Ft. New CvC with Double rookie league, 2-week cycle, etc

Since 2021, when each continent’s stronghold kingdom solidified, a new era of warring states has unfolded. Brave kings across continents have bolstered their mighty armies to overcome opposing continental forces in a battlefield that belongs to none, called “the Battlefield Island”. In the year 2023, more continents have reached a competitive state, necessitating a more suitable ground for battle and a new set of rules to crown the true king.

These new crown rules led to the emergence of the New Continent versus Continent (CVC) regime — a monumental “end-game” saga where formidable continents from around the world engage in a clash for the crown and the coveted opportunity to acquire the massive treasure of LOKA. This new battle deserves a new arena called “The Ancient Battlefield”.

In response to the sagacious counsel provided by our esteemed community, we have embarked upon a dedicated quest to elevate this legendary experience. It is with great anticipation and reverence that revealed in November, the CVC underwent a mystical transformation, extending its duration to a 2 week, more concentrated battle cycle, marked by heightened excitement and unbridled intensity, impeccably suited to the grandeur of this epic battle game.

The New CVC⚔️

Gargantua

As the winter of 2023 commenced, the Gargantua, a gargantuan beast, also stirred from its slumber. This colossal and lethal monster spawned alongside its formidable guardians known as Pantagruels. The band of heroes from the kingdoms has a 7-day window to rally together in a united effort to defeat the monstrous invasion and defend their continent. Slaying the Gargantua and its bodyguards promises rewarding prizes to the valiant heroes, while failure may result in a curse befalling the continent. Alongside these updates, we were delighted to see incredible artwork from our fans, adding even more vibrancy to the game and the community!

WEB3 ECONOMY

In web3 games, the on-chain economy derived from the values created by the community in a game platform is an essential milestone for the game’s long-term success. League of Kingdoms boasts a sophisticated economy, incorporating 7 unique NFT collections and 2 fungible tokens to power the in-game economy.

Drago NFTs

Drago, as explained above, is an ERC721 tokenized creature with unique stats that can be used in gameplay (e.g., combat, rally, etc.), production (e.g., DST mining, continent pledge efficiency boost), as well as reproduction (e.g., breeding to get an offspring, Drago). All of these aspects play crucial roles in the economy. The Dragos were first minted on Ethereum and now more widely available on the Polygon network.

Pledge LOKA to your continent!

To amplify the engagement of LOKA holders and strengthen the integration of its utilities within the game, a new pledging program and portal were launched in early 2023. Those who believe in the long-term future of the player-owned game economy, promised with blockchain tech, can now directly pledge their tokens to contribute to the continents.

Pledging LOKA to the continent will enhance the spawn rate of resources, monsters, and even the DSA mines, effectively reinforcing the continent that LOKA pledgers want to endorse. Additionally, LOKA pledging will influence whether a continent can be eligible for LOKA rewards that can be won from CvC. Those who pledged their LOKA tokens to put trust in the network and contribute to the community-owned governance of continents are rewarded with soul-bound packages with significant in-game values.

Especially, our October celebration witnessed over 5 million LOKA (more than $1.5MM at the current mark-to-market value) pledged to continents, with more than 800 strong pledgers participating. The top contributors from each continent received our heartfelt gratitude and special gifts!

[LOK]THE PLEDGE OF LOKA

DSA & WLOKA on the ground

DST is a token issued on the Polygon blockchain to power the Drago breeding game. The DST coupled with WLOKA (Wrapped LOKA on Polygon) can activate Drago breeding. And DSA is an in-game equivalent of DST, which represents DST’s in-game utilities.

Since its introduction in early 2023, and as the DSA/DST economy matures, it has undergone several significant upgrades through various reinforcement patches and special events aimed at bolstering its strength.

Most notably, the opening of the DSA VIP shop in June and the introduction of Skin Enchanting in November added another layer of depth and utility to the utility tokens within the game.

• DSA Pledging is an interesting in-game utility that creates a sink by nudging DSA miners to reserve their DSA within the game for an extended time.

• DSA VIP System unlocked new buffs, rewards, and an exclusive access to unique DSA shop where users can pay DSA to get special assets.

[LOK] COMMUNITY UPDATE JUN'23

• Skin Enchanting allowed users to elevate skin buffs to the next levels, with skins becoming three times stronger at max upgrade. After the update, skin enchanting increased the DST/DSA consumptions by more than 30%, effectively making the enchanting accountable for more than ⅓ of daily DSA productions!

• DSA roulette event on LOKA Day (October 14th every year) was a grand success, witnessing over 346 million DSA spent by 23,000 participants, setting the stage for future events in the series.

Ecosystem Management

Since its debut in January 2022, LOKA turns age two and LOKA is currently listed on 30+ global centralized exchanges across 34 pairs, facilitating an average monthly trading volume of $150 million. Moreover, Additionally, LOKA had traded more than 65 thousands times on chain.

Some of the top centralized exchanges that list LOKA are, Binance, Coinbase, and Huobi. Additionally, LOKA is available for trading on DEXs like Uniswap or platforms like Changelly.

Our NFTs are a super-charging our ecosystem

LOK boasts seven distinct NFT collections spanning two blockchains. These NFTs collectively fuel over 3 million transactions annually, with a significant portion driven by consumable micro-transactions. Users acquire tokens for in-game consumption, leading to their subsequent burning. The total valuation of our NFTs stands at around $60 million, contributing to a cumulative transaction volume of $200 million over the past two years.

Notably, our RSS collection has consistently ranked in the top 10 on the Polygon network, establishing it as a steady-seller game NFT collection on a major blockchain network for an extended multi-year period. Its market cap is more than 37,266,000 MATIC, which is $37MM in value at mark-to-market price (as of December 25, 2023), effectively ranking it 7th among all NFTs on the network.

LOK Chronicle?

LOK Chronicle is an upcoming RPG game that inherits LOK’s spirit from its core to its pinnacle.

From Day 1 of its launch, scheduled at the end of Q1, the RPG game will be fully integrated into the LOKA ecosystem. It not only shares the look and feel of the League of Kingdoms franchise but also the native token LOKA, Drago, and LAND NFTs. This will be the first true and effective interoperability case in web3 gaming. While LOK focuses on a broader scale where kingdoms are in wars with each other, LOKC narrows the scope to adventurers who have taken the sword to protect vulnerable peoples left behind as the world becomes more perilous. It will be the story of adventurers fighting for honor, glory, and riches.

The launch of LOKC marks the dawn of a visionary journey for LOK universe expansion. LOKC is not just the first step; it’s the opening chapter of a grand saga. About League of Kingdoms Arena (LOKA)

League of Kingdoms Arena (LOKA) is League of Kingdoms’ native governance token and will be the cornerstone for the game project’s expansion into metaverses where communities of gamers can own and thrive.

The LOKA will be utilized as the currency inside the League of Kingdoms game franchise for all in-game store purchases, such as purchasing packages, skins, and goods.
