The Nomo Fantasy Sports League is here!
LeagueDAO is officially launching the Nomo Fantasy League dApp.
When we launched LeagueDAO, one of our core initiatives was to launch our tokenized fantasy sports platform, the Nomo Protocol.
The protocol is made up of two parts: 1. Nomo Player Tokens, dynamic NFTs that represent real world athletes; and 2. The Nomo League dApp, the web app where you can stake your Player Tokens and compete for a piece of the weekly league reward pool.

Today marks the second phase of the launch of the Nomo Protocol.

Now you can stake your Nomo Player Tokens and compete to earn a share of the league rewards each week!
How do I get started?
1. Purchase a Nomo Player Token
First, you need to purchase a Nomo Player Token. The Fantasy Football Player Token sale is still open, so if you haven’t purchased your player yet you still can.
2. Connect to Nomo
Once you have a Player Token in your wallet go to app.leaguedao.com and connect your wallet.
- Important: We have launched the Nomo Fantasy Sports dApp on the Polygon Network. This allows us to do things in the app and with the fantasy sports leagues that would not be possible via the Ethereum Mainnet. This means that you have to switch your wallet to the Polygon Network in order to play. This also means you will need MATIC in your wallet to pay transaction fees.
Once your wallet is connected you will be able to see all of the player tokens in your wallet.
3. Stake your team
Manage your “Team” by staking your Player Token NFTs in the appropriate league.
Right now we have just launched the Fantasy Football (American Football) league, so that is the only league that shows up. More sports are coming very soon.
Click Stake Players and select which players you would like to stake. Players must be staked before the first game of the week to be eligible to compete for that week’s rewards.
You can only stake a maximum of 12 players at any point, so you have to use a little skill and research to pick your top 12 player tokens.
Once you’ve staked your players, you are all set.
4. Claim your rewards
At the end of the week, you will be able to claim your share of the rewards. Go to your “Account” page in the dApp, click ‘Claim’ and approve the transaction. It’s that easy.
With the launch of the Nomo dApp, you now have everything you need to compete in tokenized fantasy sports.
League dApp FAQ
Do I have to pay gas when I stake my Player Tokens?
- Yes. Since the League has been deployed on the Polygon Network you will pay for gas fees in MATIC. At the time of this publishing of article, the cost to stake a Player Token on Polygon is around .02 MATIC (+/- .03 USD)
How many Player Tokens can I stake?
- In the Fantasy Football League you can have a maximum of 12 player tokens staked at any one point. There is no minimum number of staked Player Tokens required.
How long do I have to stake my Player Tokens each week?
- Each new “week” begins on Tuesday at 5:00 PM EST. Player Tokens must be staked by the following Thursday at 5:00 PM to be eligible to compete that week.
When can I claim League Rewards?
- Rewards become available to be claimed at the end of the official Nomo “Week”. For Fantasy Football each week ends on Tuesdays at 5:00 PM EST.
How long do I have to claim my rewards?
- You do not have to claim your rewards by a set time. You can let your rewards accrue over multiple weeks and claim them all at once.
Do I have to re-stake my Player Tokens each week?
- No. Your players will remain staked until you unstake them.
How are points scored?
- For the first Nomo Fantasy Football League we are using the .5 PPR (points per reception) scoring format. Details on the scoring breakdown can be found here. At any point the Community can vote to adjust the scoring, which would require a 1 week grace period to be implemented.
What’s next?
This launch is an important milestone for LeagueDAO but it is just the beginning. The LeagueDAO team is already busy working on additional features, leagues and protocols that build upon the foundation we have developed with the Nomo dApp.
