About our speakers

Prakrithy Pradeep

Prakrithy Pradeep is an Innovation and Experience Designer, who currently mentors and facilitates learning for undergraduate and graduate students (of Human Centered Design and Experience Design) at Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology. Apart from being the Chapter Lead for Hexagon Bangalore (a community for women in UX), she also works as a UX Researcher at Tinkerform Innovation Labs. She is currently interested in exploring the role of context and technology in learning and teaching.
A Bangalorean by heart, Prakrithy has previously worked as a UX Research Associate at Google, after graduating with a Professional Diploma in Art and Design, and an Advanced Diploma in Innovation and Experience Design from Srishti.

Vivek Sahi

Vivek works at the intersection of Design, Product and Business. He sees his role as one that aligns user and business needs. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Design from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati in 2012, he has worked with numerous start-ups and enterprises for design strategy, research and execution. He co-founded Tinkerform 3 years ago to fill the design gap that exists in the start-up ecosystem in India. His current interest areas include designing for Impact and Wellness and designing frameworks to democratize design.

Lakshya Sivaramakrishnan

Lakshya Sivaramakrishnan
Program Coordinator — Women Techmakers, India.

She will be speaking about Building Conversational Experiences. ‘Building Conversational Experiences’ would be about leveraging tools like Actions on Google and Dialog flow to ensure a good conversational experience very close to interacting with a human to the end user. We would be looking at building apps for the Google Assistant and reach users through 400M+ devices including smart speakers, phones, cars, TVs, headphones, and more with the help of a platform for building interfaces.

Lakshya works on the Women Techmakers program which provides visibility, community, and resources for women in technology. She is a data science enthusiast building technical expertise in Machine Learning and the Cloud Platform. She is passionate about technology and wants more women becoming tech experts in the Indian Developer Ecosystem.

Before this, she has been a Data Scientist at Cerner and a Software Engineer at GE Healthcare. She has actively been a part of the ecosystem as a WTM Lead for GDG BlrDroid where she was involved in presenting talks and in planning and execution of the community events.

She believes in learning technologies, listening to people and leading from the front. On the personal side, she enjoys networking with people, playing sports and public speaking.

Preethi Guruswamy

Preethi Guruswamy, Lean In Regional Leader and founder Lean In Women in Tech India. She will be speaking about “Find Your voice”

Find Your voice:

Managing Fear essentially starts with the first dimension of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) which is Self-Awareness. There are a million scary things out there and inside us that make us say to ourselves, “pursue creativity? No, I cannot do it.” One way to begin to build your Self-Awareness is working on it every day and conquering fear is to ask yourself. Preethi will be sharing her experience and tips and tricks on how to learn to build the EQ on self-awareness. Design your goals by overcoming your fears and “Find your voice”.
Preethi has over 17 years’ experience in Senior Management in software technology, building high-performing teams delivering innovative products. An experienced leader, Preethi leads the new development and growing established products.Her career in software technology includes Enterprise, cloud solutions, Real Time Streaming, and Big Data products.
She is passionate about customer benefits, great design, and business results.Preethi also enjoys mentoring and growing ambitious female leaders and is the Founder and a Regional Leader for Lean In Women In Tech, India. Preethi is one of the 75 leaders recognized globally by LeanIn.org in 2017. Preethi has built diverse communities as co-lead for both Lean In Bangalore and co-founder of Hexagon UX Bangalore user experience chapters (which encourages the gender diversity and inclusion). Preethi is a speaker and champions gender diversity especially in the technology industry.
