Creating the DREAM TEAM

This week, I want to share with the fellow entrepreneurship community the perfect concoction for the DREAM TEAM — anything is possible for these 14 people to achieve (anything as far as your creative mind can imagine!).

For your basic ingredients, you will need:

  • 3 experienced supervisors (all in different fields of teaching)

** One with an extensive knowledge of bolting and building, working with almost ANY tool, and who can design an awesome tire structure. Another supervisor who can lift up the vibe of a stressful workplace in an instant, dancing around the worksite and joining in on banter. Lastly, one that seems to know everything about everything (can tell you the basic characteristics of a random plant and its name) and has a very high confidence level in group success.

12 PASSIONATE students who are prepared to make mistakes and grow from them. The students must fall into one or more of these categories:

  • Extremely excited and motivated to get the job done: Their stamina is one than many people admire. And it’s found through their passion!
Our own bamboo monkey bars created by our motivation!
  • The ‘I prefer to sit’ students: These students are incredibly talented and interested in logistical work instead of physical labour.
Figuring out the basics; design and budget
  • Banter all day!: For the laughter, memories, and friendships… all ‘dream team’ students can be a part of the banter category.
Yay for heavy tires!
  • The ‘inbetweeners’: These people can squeeze into anyone of these categories, depending on the day — and can still help get the job done.
We are horrible at bamboo carving compared to the skilled Balinese but we’ll give it a try anyway
  • A crowd to watch the group grow and flourish — it’s all about watching the learning experience! (*cough* The Green School community is crazy supportive of student-driven projects)

Allow for these key elements to mix and collaborate together, and in 6 weeks you’ll have a progress worth a tick of success!

A little time is needed for team-bonding and reflection (around 1 hour a day), so the team can rejuvenate to get the job done.

** NOTE: Success is only achieved once you have reached a GOAL and worked well as a team. In my opinion, this LEAP block (2.3) has already achieved greater success than ever thought possible!

HAPPY PROJECT-MAKING!
