I’m an eLearning Strategist with a new skill in UX/UI Design.

Creating apps has always been a passion of mine, and in 2019 it finally happened. The first app is for the love of my sport, Strongman (I’m a nationally ranked Strongman athlete). It’s basically the Yellowpages (or digital library) for the sport. The second app is for a client. We designed an app that teaches people how to reduce their unconscious bias measurably.

There are many takeaways from this experience, but two that are worth sharing.

You DONT need:
lots of money (I built the Strongman app for less than $500).
to learn how to code (I did not learn)
to hire a developer (I used existing templates to build the Strongman app)
lots of time (I took me three months for the Strongman app)

If you’re like me and want to build an educational or community app without the money or experience, I recommend looking at these sites.

$$$ Disciple — build a learning community app
$ Appypie — build an educational app with basic features
$ iBuildApp — choose from existing templates and make small adjustments (colors, images, etc.)
$ eDirectory — build a content library (what I did with Strongman)
$$$$ — Builder Engineer — choose from existing templates
