Whether you’re an aspiring hockey star or dreaming of figure skating, you can put your skills to the test right now with Compete USA!

These beginner skating competitions welcome skaters of all ages and levels to participate. The events follow Learn to Skate USA curriculum and are broken down by level and age. Skaters can choose to compete in several events, including compulsory elements and programs set to music, showcase events, synchronized skating, Theater On Ice, Therapeutic Skating and more!

Getting started with hockey? Compete USA has a fun series of events just for you! You can choose to perform your elements in front of judges by yourself or with a team of friends. There’s also the Hockey Skills Challenge, allowing you to compete in a variety of fun, skill-based events, such as seeing how many pucks you can shoot into different holes and racing against others around obstacles. You can also show off your stick handling and passing skills. You’ll meet new people, compete with your friends and practice your skills and technique all at the same time!

Why you should participate in a Compete USA event

Compete USA offers the opportunity for Learn to Skate USA members to have a fun and positive introduction into the competitive skating experience. The event provides a motivational reason to keep skating while generating enthusiasm at the grassroots level.

At a Compete USA event, you get to meet new people from the area and grow your skating network, all while having fun on the ice! To make the most out of your experience, try to arrive at the rink at least one hour before your event to check in and warm up. Make sure to congratulate others and cheer on your fellow skaters. Don’t forget to be confident! A smile goes a long way.

Participating in a Compete USA event is easy, and you don’t have to take private lessons to compete! Find a Compete USA event in your area at LearntoSkateUSA.com.
