As kids we all dreamt of becoming a rockstar one day. It’s time for your child to enter into the world of tunes and tones which you overlooked while growing up from being a toddler to an adolescent. Learning an instrument is a joy in itself and it’s one of those activities which uses both analytical and creative mind at the same time. So whether it’s for the creativity or just the joy of music, let your child be exposed to all. So,let’s take a look at five of the best instruments for young growing minds.

Guitar:

The six strings of the guitar are designed to not only be your child’s best friend but also helps in improving coordination, concentration and boosts brain power. In times like these, where the entire world is failing, the tunes of the guitar speak. It’s such an instrument that can spark up the entire room and one that is the most adaptable. It’s an instrument where by using both your hands and plucking the strings, one can create their own music, and sing to their own tunes. Let your child speak his or her emotions, through the strings of guitar, and let him/her be the next Eric Clapton. As Eric Clapton says ‘Every time you pick up your guitar, play it as if it’s your last time’.

Drums:

This instrument belongs to the percussion group of musical instruments family. The variations of sound of the drums is what makes it unique from the other. Drumming is powerful, it improves confidence and develops motor skills in children as drumming requires coordination. The drum sticks help a child to beat their drums to their own type of music. And if you are one of those who is poor in maths, Drums has its own way to help you with your calculations. They are the backbone of all bands, and the loud beats adds a whole lot of energy to the music and let’s you be as loud and expressive as you want to be. It has been said that ”There are no beats unless the drum and drummer are one”. They are a complete experience on their own. Gymming for health enthusiasts and drumming for musical ones, a way of releasing energy in the best way possible!

Keyboard:

It’s one of the musical instruments in which all elements of music like melody, rhymes, harmony can be expressed at all levels of complexity. Every key has a different tune from the others and yet it’s so easy to just combine many keys and form the music of your type. It is one of those instruments which doesn’t require any kind of tuning, and enhances memory. Furthermore, keyboards also act as great substitutes and are also much more accessible than a big old dusty piano. Some experts try to differentiate between a piano and a keyboard, but this single instrument covers everything and a prerequisite for all types of music. It fixes all types of mood.’Despite being a single instrument, a keyboard covers the full spectrum of any instrument featured in the orchestra’ according to the La Habra and Corona Music Centers. There are always wrong and right things in life but in the world of the keyboard, there are no wrong keys, every key has its own spark to add to the song.

Ukulele:

It’s not always ‘the bigger the better’ because some good things come in small packages and that is what Ukulele is all about. Things get more coordinated when there is something common between them and that is what the tiny size of kids and ukulele signifies, which is just perfect for kids to carry and learn a few chords so that they can play some easy numbers in a short amount of time.Inexpensive to buy and super fun to play, the ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to learn. With just four nylon strings , you can quickly pick up simple chords and play some of your favorite songs in just a few weeks. No need to get scared of the strings because they are the friendliest string instruments that have easy pressed-down strings! The thing about Ukulele is that the sound of every string makes sure to put a smile on your face and those around you. “UKE DO IT!!”.

Flute:

It’s the type of instrument that soothes the spirit of the player and the listeners alike. The movement of fingers is needed to maintain the notes that help to improve concentration which is significant for kids as well as adults and in all phases of life. The instrument is designed to create music through air which acts as an aid to breathing exercises and meditation of the mind. Flute teaches a lot about patience, peace and power. In this era of electronic innovation usually children are occupied with digital devices but learning an instrument like flute, the soulful melody of it cannot be replaced by any of the digital devices. It is an instrument which doesn’t give a hole in your pocket and at the same time provides the feel of both classical and foundational themes. So, encourage your child to be the next century flutists like George Barrere or Bobbi Humphrey. Let the doors to the musical world be open to your child.

There is a wide variety of musical instruments to learn and each one of them has its own spark .
