The road to becoming a world class developer is by no means an easy on, wide as the tracks may be, eventually price catches up with all of us and the difference becomes rather clear. One beautiful thing we engage quickly with is coming up with ideas, visions and plans. Only a few take the extra steps to birth their visions. The extra measures needed to transcend into this realm most times become difficult for us to give, and this is why LearnFactory Nigeria powers the Reactor initiative.
What Is Reactor?
I’m not about to give you a long convoluted definition of what reactor is, 😄. As developers, it is important that we understand the place of a team, community and learning. A lot is currently going on about these around the globe, Reactor is a body of developers who have one skill and one goal. The Reactor initiative seeks to build an active community of React developers.
LearnFactory Nigeria as a training hub, has a large cluster of React developers, the Reactor program leverages on this cluster to build solutions for it’s environment and beyond.
On the 7th of Sept, 2019 we had our maiden meetup and boy! it was exciting.
We had beautiful learning session from Ezeoke Chukwubuikem who spoke on the lifeCycle methods in a class based React component, you can see more about that talk here.
Ezeoke Chukwubuikem is one of the fore-running interns here at LearnFactory Nigeria. You remember that you cannot give what you do not have. Learning is team effort, building the team that provides a better learning experience is at the core of our Organization.
We had also Ubanna speak to us about a wonderful React animation library called react-spring. He used to be a business-side person and even worked with some financial institutions in the country. He has a deep sense of love for tech and commitment to improving people’s lives. As an intern, he’s works stand head and shoulder, compelling attention and admiration.
Reactor isn’t just about the talks, we have a major focus on hands-on-code practice as well as brainstorming. These are what makes a group formidable, impacting and engaging.
And just when you think we are thinking small…
Reactor meetups are very engaging and interactive, this is a platform that allows you to explore your creative powers without fear of any kind.
Every Reactor had something to say, regardless of your knowledge base, level or gender, there is room for everyone…
