Poll making with DirectPoll

With DirectPoll it’s possible to make easy and fast polls that can be used in classes without trouble. Just give a link to students and they can vote and see results live. Make your questions and answers in advance and follow the link to start. One important note, remember to use the polls within 30 days, after a month they get deleted.

The first thing to do is open your browser and go to www.directpoll.com. On the page press the “Create your poll now!” button and make your polls. To make more then one you fill in the first poll and do the same to get more then one answer to your question.

Next to the poll question you have the settings option to hide live results, mark the correct answer and whether you can vote one or multiple times.

When you have made the poll

After making the polls you need to enter your e-mail to get links and access to the polls again. It is the e-mail that lets you save, use and share them.

The visual

The last step on the page is the option to choose different layouts on your polls. You also have the option to show the link voters need to follow.

After you press “Save poll and send me the links”

When you press it the Cockpit will open and here you have different links to present the poll, voting and the main Cockpit link. Now it’s just to open the presenting link and give the voters their link. When you open the presenter link you have three options in the lower left corner: start, forward and stop. To open the poll for voters press start and to show (If enabled) the results and correct answer press forward. If you haven’t enabled these features the results are live and you have to point out the correct answer yourself.

Remember polls can be edited and managed in the Cockpit up to 30 days from creation.

You also have the ability to start, forward and stop the poll in the Cockpit. If needed, you also have a reset results button in the top.
