Renting is something which is quickly gaining popularity among the global audience and few Indian startups are making great progress in this vertical.
Last day i happened to explore one of the rental startups in India…
While researching about GrabOnRent couple of points stuck my attention and had a few interesting thoughts too in my mind. Just sharing it here, hope it would add value to you guys.
Changing the mindset of the people would be the key :
- Bring on innovative products to catalogue, refer https://www.happilyunmarried.com/ . The uniqueness of products should speak for the brand.
- Run creative campaigns on renting is the new fashion.
- Flexibility and change is the new fashion campaign.
- Run creative campaigns to show this is cheaper .
- Second hand product should not be mentioned anywhere, quality process should be emphasized and visible.
- Buy = Rent campaigns and keyword
- Speed of getting setup campaigns
Few strategic tie-ups to quickly grow:
- Tie up with Interior decorators.
- Can tie up with cafes and small shops, pitch can be constant revamp based on events, seasons and lowering costs.
- Be on places where people come for renting and give combo packs. Tie up with Nestaway, Commonfloor, Nobroker etc
- Context based display of app module, checkout http://www.appsfly.io/
- Tie up with Finomena
Some features that can add value to users :
- Reviews about the product from the community
- Showing out the dimensions of items on pictures.
- Interesting products to be used along with this
- Live support
