The first month since launching Bump has been amazing. Customers have Bumped more than 13,000 conversations, automating over 15,500 messages to their customers! One of the core features of Bump is that we also automate conversation actions like snoozing and closing. In the past we snoozed all messages until the last one, then we auto-closed it if you hadn’t gotten a response from your user. Many of our customers asked if we could allow customization around those actions so that they could create Bump templates for different use cases and types of customers. For example, you may not always want to close the conversation at the end of your Bump follow-ups because of the importance of the conversation. We’re excited to announce Custom conversation actions!

Instead of snoozing throughout a sequence and closing at the end, you can now choose which actions to take on an Intercom conversation throughout your Bump sequences including snoozing, closing, or re-opening.

Instead of snoozing throughout a sequence and closing at the end, you can now choose which actions to take on an Intercom conversation throughout your Bump sequences including snoozing, closing, or re-opening.

A couple of use cases:

  • Re-open conversations at the end of a Bump sequence to ensure you revisit high priority threads (e.g. for VIP customers or important leads in your pipeline). I have a 3-follow-up Bump template that reopens at the end that I schedule on pricing related conversations. These are hot leads and I don’t want to lose track of this conversation by auto-closing it.
  • Close conversations throughout a Bump sequence to improve your time to close metric goals (if you’re into that sorta thing). Some customers have certain metric goals, where snoozing isn’t an option. In this scenario, you would auto-close after each follow-up is sent.

We hope this opens Bump up to even more opportunities to save time and offer an improved customer experience! We’ve got a lot more coming your way, and our next big focus will be on the automation and improved speed of triggering a Bump template on an Intercom conversation. Onwards!
