Learning {Re}imagined for Education Revolutionaries

What does your education revolution look like?

What does a revolution in education actually look like? What would the goals of such a revolution be and what would be the new status quo once the revolution is complete?

In this talk, presented in Amsterdam at the TEDxAmsterdamED event on March 26th, I discuss the “revolution” theme of the event through the lens of the experiences gained during my 2 year Learning {Re}imagined research programme.

I discuss 6 areas; context, environment, engagement, technology, assessment and the future. I conclude that before we can see a revolution in education we need a revolution in society that is focused not on GDP and global competitiveness but on the real challenges faced by our children and their children in this century.
