I don’t know whether us realize it or not, we were influenced by data in our daily life every day. Such as, we need to check the weather situation on the phone before we go outside, if we need to take a train or bus, we also have to check the schedule from official app. This way of convey information is in our almost every aspect of our life and we were accepted in case of imperceptible. I could be say, the data is become a significant role in our life.

Moreover, as a designer, how could we prove the data is also important in our design process?

For example, my previous major was architecture, not only I need to draw a building sketch and build model through 3D Max, but also I have to figure out the various system in building whether can support the building or not. If you give me a bunch of books let me to read and understand, I must be annoyed and bother me a lot. But if I can get the data which already organized and show me what the portion it is, it must be helpful for my design process and save a lot of time as well.

However, how the data used in User experience design?

From my point of view, the big part of using data is to show us what is we care about most and what is less important. When UX designer use data, it can be prove the point of design and find some mistakes to modify so that discover something new.

In any fields of designers, they prefer to use data to prove which is right or wrong. For instance, if you change numbers of design portion and wanna show to your team, they must want to see the simply and obvious change and they can understand directly. So , it is really about right and quick way to success.

Consequently, for the UX designers should know is that the more closely connected data is to the experiences of people and how they perceive them, the more meaningful and actionable that data is. The challenge is asking the right questions of the data to deliver insights that are relevant to the user experience.

Thanks for reading.
