Unbundled digital product & Original product
Unbundling Definitions:
Most basically means simply the “process of breaking apart something into smaller parts.” — — Wikipedia
“break[ing] up the packages (companies) once offered, providing particular parts of them at a scale and cost unmatchable by the old order.”[2] Unbundling has been called “the great disruptor” — — Wikipedia
Three types of unbundling:
- Functionality
- Online Content
- Offline Content
Amazon:
1.Home page:
2. Use the navigation to find Amazon Video:
3. Video List:
4. Video Information:
Amazon App is a original product. It includes many kinds of product. You can not only buy real products, but also buy the book, video, the deal of travel.etc. It is easy to buy the products, but if you want to see the video or book in this website, many people would like to download the Amazon Video or Kindle in their phones.
Amazon Video:
1.Home page:
2.Video Information:
3. Watch the video:
Amazon Video App is a unbundled digital product. You just can buy the video from the Amazon in this app, but if the people who often watch the video( not free) online, they would like to use this app.
Compare this two products, you can spend less time to get a video in Amazon Video. The Amazon Video also can play the video and manage your videos in your phones. But the Amazon app can’t do these. If you buy the video in Amazon app, you also need to download the Amazon Video app to play it. So if you are the “video people” or you always use Amazon website to watch the videos, you need Amazon Video.
Finally, what do you think the type of Amazon Video, functionality, online content or offline content?
(In my opinion, it is the type of online content.)
