Learnist is proud to have been announced as the winner in the Kaizen Edu Award winner for 2014. The Kaizen Edu Award honors the company making the most revolutionary change to education and learning and is given at the ASU+GSV Education Innovation Summit’s Return On Education (ROE) Innovation Awards. Known to many as “Davos in the Desert,” the Summit brings together together the world’s most visionary, passionate, and energetic players in the education innovation space.

Selected by vote from the 3000+ attendees, finalists included those who have demonstrated a high Return on Education as measured by the ability to deliver the following tangible learner outcomes:

  • Significantly increase access to education;
  • Greatly reduce the cost for learners and/or learning institutions;
  • Dramatically improve learning outcomes;
  • Provide substantial leverage to learning leaders (teachers, professors); and/or
  • Make a sustainable and scaled impact.

Award winners were selected by Summit attendees, who included entrepreneurs and leaders in education, business, government and philanthropic sectors. Other finalists in the ‘Kaizen Edu’ category included CorpU, CreativeLIVE, Curious, Khan Academy, and Noodle Education.

“I was thrilled to accept this award on behalf of the amazing team at Learnist. We’ve built a social learning platform that enables people to share and learn all of the world’s knowledge. While we know what we’ve created is revolutionary, it was still humbling to receive the prestigious recognition — especially with such an amazing group of competitors,” said Roy Gilbert, Learnist CEO.
