The Social Network (2010)

The Social Network is a 2010 American biographical drama film directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin. Adapted from Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires, it portrays the founding of social networking website Facebook and the resulting lawsuits.

Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999)

Pirates of Silicon Valley is another well-crafted movie covering the successes of Bill Gates’s Microsoft and Steve Jobs’s Apple.

Both were no doubt “great pirates” and this movie does a great job of detailing that. The movie is a take on the rivalry between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates from the very early days.

The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

This is one of my favorite motivational movies, and one of the best movies ever on never giving up.

The Pursuit of Happyness is a 2006 American biographical drama film directed by Gabriele Muccino and starring Will Smith as Chris Gardner, a homeless salesman. Smith’s son Jaden Smith co-stars, making his film debut as Gardner’s son, Christopher Jr.

Chris Gardner takes up an unpaid internship in a brokerage firm after he loses his life’s earnings selling a product he invested in. His wife leaves him and he is left with the custody of his son.

Forrest Gump (1994)

This is a beautiful story about a simple man with good intentions, who accidentally becomes a phenomenal success just by living his the life he feels is right.

The story revolves around the simple nature of Forrest (Tom Hanks) and how he proves that you don’t have to be a genius to achieve something. All you have to do is try.

The Founder (2016)

I believe this one of the best business movies and is a must watch for all entrepreneurs, especially those in the sales and marketing sectors.

The giant food chain, McDonald’s, is known worldwide. This movie is about the two brothers who started the company and the man who actually founded the global food chain.

The Founder is a gentle reminder to stay hungry and not to get set in your ways with your entrepreneurial endeavours. A really motivational movie.
