1. What is Hackathon?

What is Hackathon?

A hackathon is an event in which a large number of people come together to develop software or hardware projects within a short period of time, usually ranging from a few hours to a few days.

Hackathons are often held to encourage innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving in the tech industry. Participants in a hackathon may be students, professionals, or a mix of both, and they typically work in teams to develop prototypes or proof-of-concepts for new products or technologies.

Hackathons can be focused on a particular theme or technology, or they can be more general in nature. Many hackathons offer prizes for the most successful projects, and they can be a great opportunity for participants to learn new skills, network with others in the tech industry, and potentially turn their ideas into viable products or businesses.

2. ICON HyberBuild Hackathon

ICON HyberBuild Hackathon 2022–2023

ICON HyberBuild Hackathon is a hackathon event sponsored and hosted by the ICON Foundation — a non-profit organization that aims to build a decentralized network for the exchange of value, lecle_vietnam — a global software and blockchain technology house and Devera Academy- IT academy and career training center.

The event is focused on the development of projects using the ICON blockchain and its technologies. Participants in the hackathon will have the opportunity to work with experts from ICON and other industry partners to develop innovative projects and potentially win the prizes.

With the challenge to create synergistic solutions using ICON technologies. ICON Network provides more opportunities for developers to crossover multiple blockchains using its interoperability technologies such as BTP, ICON Bridge and ICE/Snow network. This allows more opportunities than ever to create a cross-chain solution that is able to transcend networks.
