Introducing Koila (Beta) — An NFT art discovery platform.
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a special type of cryptographic token which represents something unique; non-fungible tokens are thus not mutually interchangeable.[1] This is in contrast to cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, and many network or utility tokens that are fungible in nature.
NFTs lately have been gaining a lot attention and why shouldn’t they? NFTs are enabling artists/creatives and the visionary to directly sell their artworks, helping games to raise funds for development and gaming enthusiasts to earn something with real value.
WAX has positioned itself as the king of NFTs, with no-fees requirement to buy and sell NFTs, easy process to create NFTs collections and auction or distribute them among the users/enthusiasts.
We are exited to introduce an NFTs art based product in such exiting times when both the NFTs industry and WAX is growing rapidly.
Why Koila?
On WAX there was a missing solution for NFTs artists to showcase their artwork on a decentralized platform which gave birth to NFT art discovery platform Koila. As we kept working on the project the purpose become much deeper. We wish to turn Koila into a product which provides opportunities to the artists, creatives who make our world a much beautiful place.
The project aims to remove any kind of centralized entity to censor, extort a large percentage of money from the artists and enables P2P sharing among different players using the artworks posted on the platform.
What is Koila?
The platform will enable the artist, users and enthusiasts to showcase their arts, create and maintain profile, follow others, like and comment on other artwork. To start with we have created a simple step to import NFTs from AtomicHub/SimpleAssets and create an collection to showcase any of your arts.
What are the steps to begin using Koila?
- Log in to Platform using WAX Cloud Wallet/Anchor — if you don’t have a WAX account, you may create a free account using https://wallet.wax.io. Use the same account to login into Koila.
2. Create Profile — Go to My portfolio on the main menu. Add your avatar, username, website link and description in our profile.
3. Create collection — Go to My NFTs menu to add collection to show your arts under one folder. Like “Sketches” or “Oil Paintings”.
4. Import NFTs — Import your NFTs from the drop down list to showcase them in your profile.
5. Follow — Follow other creatives.
6. Like or comment- on others artwork.
What’s next?
We will be updating the product as per users and will be dropping first users or early adopter with Koila Exclusive Artworks (Limited Edition NFTs).
We are also working on simplifying the process of creating NFTs for the platform in the next iteration. We will also be redoing the UI/UX of the platform and include Job section for designers looking to work in NFTs space.
