IBCT Co., Ltd. (CEO Martin Lee), a specialized technology company in decentralized ID (DID)-based data platform services, announced on the 16th that it was selected as the final participant in the “Regional Specialized Industry-Linked Verification Service Development and Blockchain Platform Development Project,” organized by Incheon Technopark(Incheon TP) in July. IBCT participated as part of the Finger Consortium, alongside Finger and Fine Nuts, making a total of three companies in the consortium.

This project is being carried out as part of the “2024 Regional Blockchain Technology Innovation Support Center Establishment Project,” announced by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), with Incheon City and Incheon TP selected to lead the initiative. The project aims to develop and implement localized industry-linked verification services that citizens can directly experience, such as the “I-SUM Pass” for tourist identity verification, as well as a knowledge protection platform. Additionally, it seeks to build more than two blockchain platforms to support the development and utilization of blockchain services by local companies.

Through this initiative:
▲ The effect of validating and enhancing the completeness and practicality of technology and services through a blockchain platform before developing Citizen experience type services.
▲ Preparing measures such as vulnerability assessments and response strategies before launching DApps (blockchain apps) and services to ensure the development of safe and reliable services.
By developing two verification services, we aim to enable citizens and businesses to experience blockchain technology. We expect this to be effective in increasing understanding and trust in blockchain technology.

IBCT has developed a SaaS platform called ‘INFIRIUM’ that can be used within a web environment without requiring separate blockchain infrastructure. This platform provides user identity verification and credential validation based on blockchain and Decentralized Identity (DID), and it utilizes DIDH (Decentralized Identity Data Hub) for the storage, management, and sharing of various data and electronic documents.

Through this, the platform provides an environment where individuals can control their data, enabling integrity verification and allocation of personal data security areas. It also supports the ability for users to securely store their data in an encrypted format within a DID-based cloud personal data storage space.

Martin Lee, CEO of IBCT, stated, “We will utilize the verification services being established at Incheon Techno Park and our DID-specialized blockchain platform to implement a ‘mobile identity verification service,’ and we will focus on building a stable testbed in preparation for commercial services by 2025.”

Additionally, we will actively explore services connected to our SaaS platform, ‘INFIRIUM,’ so that citizens and businesses can directly experience the benefits of blockchain technology. We are committed to prioritizing personal data security and integrity in our service development and aim to continue growing as a leading company in blockchain technology.”
