IBCT’s ‘ INFIRIUM’ has been officially selected as an innovative product under the “2024 Ministry of SMEs and Startups(MSS) Innovative Product Designation System.”
The MSS’ innovative Product Designation System is a program that designates products developed by small and medium-sized enterprises through R&D as ‘MSS innovative Products,’ provided that the products are recognized for their technological innovation and public benefit.
The designation of ‘INFIRIUM’ is highly significant because it was awarded after successfully completing a small and medium-sized enterprise R&D project overseen by the MSS. This designation highlights not only the product’s innovation and market potential but also its recognition for addressing public issues and improving the quality of life for citizens, thereby creating substantial social value.
As a result, ‘INFIRIUM’ can be registered through the E-Procurement System(innovative Product mall), allowing government and local public institutions to purchase the innovative product.
The designated period for innovative products is until July 17, 2027, lasting three years. During this period, public procurement from government agencies, public institutions, and local governments is possible. Additionally, participation in government-led pilot purchase projects for innovative products (where the Procurement Office pays for initial purchase costs) is also permitted.
‘INFIRIUM’ is a SaaS platform that, without requiring separate infrastructure setup, enables user identity authentication and qualification verification based on blockchain and Decentralized Identifier (DID) through API integration. It also facilitates the storage, management, and sharing of various data and electronic documents using DID.
This enables:
▲ Services for issuing mobile IDs, student IDs, and other certifications, as well as identity verification.
▲ Electronic document distribution services ensuring data integrity.
▲Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) allows for sensitive information data management and more.
It provides an environment where individuals can control their data, allowing for data integrity verification and allocation of personal data security areas. Additionally, it supports encryption and storage of personal data in a DID-based cloud storage space, ensuring safekeeping by the user.
In April, IBCT, the developer of ‘INFIRIUM’, secured a contract with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency to develop an app supporting DID-based mobile certificates and qualification verification for completing basic safety and health education in the construction industry. In July, they signed a contract with Incheon Technopark to build a DID blockchain platform. Both projects are currently under development with a goal to deliver by December this year.
