INFIRIUM was selected as “Procurement Recommend” through the MSS’ Innovative Product Designation System

IBCT’s “INFIRIUM” has passed the evaluation from the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs(TIPA) in the public interest and innovation face-to-face evaluation of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups(MSS)’ 2024 Innovative Product Designation System.

The ‘2024 MSS Innovative Product Designation System Implementation Plan’ is a system designed to promote and transfer the innovative products developed through the MSS’s small and medium-sized enterprise technology development support projects with public procurement. Once designated as an innovative product, it allows for easy and rapid entry into the public procurement market(Innovation Marketplace).

In particular, after successfully completing an MSS-affiliated SME R&D project, “INFIRIUM” was recognized not only for its innovation and marketability based on the blockchain technology but also for its social necessity in terms of solving public issues and improving the quality of life for citizens, thereby creating social value. This recognition led to its selection as a “Procurement Recommend” which holds significant meaning.

Based on the results of the face-to-face evaluation, “INFIRIUM,” designated as a “Procurement Recommend” will undergo a procurement suitability review by the Korea Institute of Procurement. It will then be submitted to the Ministry of Economy and Finance’s Procurement Policy Deliberation Committee. After a comprehensive review of the submitted products, the final “Innovative Product Designation Certificate” will be awarded in July.

Once designated as an innovative procurement product, it can be registered through the electronic procurement system(Innovation Marketplace) which allows various government and local public agencies to purchase the innovative product.

The designation period for innovative products is three years, during which private contracts are permitted in public procurement with the government, public agencies, and local governments. In addition, it is the subject of a pilot purchase project for innovative products promoted by the government.

In the MSS innovation product designation system, receiving a “Procurement Recommend” evaluation from TIPA is considered formal recognition of INFIRIUM’s innovation and technological prowess.
