On Monday, August 27th, Ledgity attended Cryptomondays at Station F in Paris, the world’s biggest startup campus, in order to present the project to potential investors, entrepreneurs, a jury composed of Lou Kerner, Willson Lee, and Nicolas Cantu, and hosted by Michael Amar.
This sixth edition of Cryptomondays was sponsored by the French Association for the Management of Cybermonnaies (AFGCybermonnaies), Woorton (“liquidity provider for professional investors”), and Chain Accelerator. Cryptomondays is a gathering started in January 2017 by Lou Kerner to bring together people who are passionate about blockchain technology and crypto to share this passion.
Ledgity was selected from a large pool of applicants as one of the six startups to pitch at CryptoMondays.
During his pitch in front of a packed house, Ledgity CEO Pierre-Yves outlined the problems of the current security environment — e.g. lack of liquidity, inefficiencies — and explained how Ledgity can make the financial markets more fair and efficient to benefit investors seeking diversification and companies looking to raise capital to finance their growth. After the pitch, there was a short question and answer session with the panelists.
As with most conferences and meetups, the real work is done outside the pitch. Ledgity had a productive evening and met several investment funds and developers willing to provide resources to build the platform. The Ledgidy team had constructive conversations with developers from NULS and a representative of NEO. Discussions with funds ranged from investing in Ledgity to tokenizing their assets on Ledgity.
Security tokens are a new frontier in blockchain, and education is critical. There was plenty of time to meet with cryptocurrency enthusiasts and newcomers to build our community and educate people about the promise of security tokens.
