There is another new addition to the growing Education Ecosystem team as Bianca Garrison-Quick has joined in the role of Marketing & Analytics Manager. Building Education Ecosystem into the top platform for professional development training will require extensive marketing of our product offerings. Potential internal ecosystem subscribers as well as external ecosystem participants such as businesses and universities, need to be aware of our product. Bianca will be a key proponent for making this happen. We spoke with her in an interview to discuss her background and her role with the company.

1)Tell us about your background.

I am a digital marketing specialist with a background in journalism, public relations, social media marketing and traditional marketing. I have worked for large corporations such as Walgreens and Hilton and small, local businesses such as plumbers, day care centers, etc. I have also owned my own businesses.

2)What is your role at Education Ecosystem?

Marketing and Analytics Manager. I’ll be overseeing all of our product marketing efforts including providing SEO best practices and outlining strategies to enhance our social media, newsletter and content marketing initiatives.

3) What made you interested in joining the company?

I am fascinated by the blockchain industry and was drawn by the unique offerings of the platform. The focus on practical projects is really different to what is already out there in terms of professional development training.

4) What are some things you’ve accomplished since you’ve started?

I’ve identified the best performing keywords for the projects page and sub-categories through keyword research. I’ve created content for the new website, drafted emails, identified non-indexable pages, resolved a copyright claim, completed some market research and begun SEO training for the CMs.

5) Any other goals you have?

Yes, I have many. One of them would be to ramp up our email marketing performance. As I dive into the role I’ll be able to identify some more areas where we can improve.

6) What are some challenging things about working for a tech startup? Specifically one in the blockchain industry.

Helping the public overcome its misconceptions and fears about the industry. Some of the challenges working for a tech startup are working with a distributed team and creating a seamless workflow.

7) How do you see your work benefitting the ecosystem?

This platform is very unique and through my marketing efforts, more of the public will be aware of all that the ecosystem has to offer. It will take some time, but we will begin to see more subscribers and we will generate more buzz for the company.

What do you think about Bianca’s interview? Are you excited to see what she can bring to the ecosystem? Let us know in the comments.
