The Global Education Innovation Festival, NY EDTECH WEEK 2017, happened recently on December 18–20, 2017 at New York University’s Washington Square Campus. It was a glorious convocation of industry specialists, spotlighting and defining some of the key issues of education. As such, it was a no brainer for LiveEdu to attend the event, as we are devoted to nurturing new partnerships and exchange best practices in education technology.
Our CEO, Dr. Michael J. Garbade as part of the LiveEdu roadshow spoke at the event and pitched the revamped LiveEdu to edtech investors. He also unveiled the LiveEdu ICO and how the platform will look.
Other speakers were Jeanne Allen, Founder & CEO, The Center for Education Reform; Michael & Olga Block, Co-Founders, BASIS Curriculum Schools; David Coleman, President & CEO, College Board; Eric Gertler, Co-Chairman & CEO, U.S. News & World Report and Ulysses Ventures; Alicia Glen, Deputy Mayor for Housing and Economic Development, City of New York; Jonathan Harber, Chairman of StartEd; and Telly Leung, Actor, Singer, Songwriter Aladdin, RENT, Glee, plus over 200 more and over 100 sharks.
It was an awesome event, that brought together 1200+ technology innovators, early-stage investors, entrepreneurs, policy makers, media representatives, researchers, and educators. This guaranteed that there was a wealth of accessible wisdom and resources for everyone to luxuriate in. Video will be available soon.
