This is a historic moment for the University of Leeds. For the first time ever, a survey has been released looking for the student voice on one of the university's’ most defining characteristics; the curriculum.

You’ll have received an email from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Tom Ward about the survey, but why should you do it?

1) To change the stuff you don’t like

and…

2) To get more of the stuff you do like

So if you have any thoughts on the different themes that the discovery modules fit into, how visible each of the programme threads is in your course, or on the choice of final year projects available, this is the place to have your say.

3) To hold the University accountable

If you’re not quite sure what you should expect from your curriculum (or you are but don’t feel like that standard is being met), let the university know! Students who are taught across two schools, are off-campus or have timetable constraints and clashes, I’m looking at you.

4) To leave a legacy on campus

Leeds has one of the most diverse and comprehensive curriculums in the country, it’s part of the reason Leeds Grads are so highly sought after. So why not make a mark on one of the best curriculums by shaping it with your views?

and lastly…

5) To win £50!

Who wouldn’t want an extra £50? Three lucky winners will win vouchers of their choice, which isn’t bad for 5–10 minutes!

If something’s going well, great! Let Uni know so it can be replicated in more places. If something’s not up to scratch we’d also love to know so we can make the appropriate changes. So settle down with a brew, take a break from your revision and have your say on the curriculum.

You can find the survey at https://leeds.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/leeds_curriculum.
