T’was such a night as now
…
T’was such a night as now
The seconds ticked and quicken towards morn
The sounds of drunkards, an aftermath of post revelry
The echoes of garbage trucks, making their daily rounds at scheduled intervals
T’was such a night as now
This very time 12 months before
The distance ahead of us, separating both like an unbridgeable chasm
We sat shoulder to shoulder, silence between us with only keyboards speaking
T’was such a night as now
The minutes and moments woven a tapestry
The most intricate of thoughts and intense of emotions
Unspeakable and heartfelt
T’was such a night as now
The dates and days roared past
The tapestry, it’s very weave shredded and shot
A path of destruction trailing, blazing a burnt-out questioning soul
