This week the world witnessed more bloodthirsty attacks by the Russian army on the nation of Ukraine, relentless attacks on schools, churches and even a maternity hospital, all designed to instill fear in the Ukrainian people while destroying hope.

In the fog of war, perspective can be lost. When hope is lost, nations fall.

Ukraine is now in the third week of this unholy attack, and is fighting with every ounce of courage it’s people have, only to watch in horror as more blood is spilled. What the Ukrainian people need is a shot in the arm.

Most Americans are familiar with World War II, and have heard of Pearl Harbor, although they may not be able to tell you what happened on that “date which will live in infamy.” On December 7, 1941, naval and air forces of Japan attacked the United States in various locations in Hawaii, killing more than 2,400 American servicemen, damaging or sinking numerous ships, and destroying hundreds of aircraft. The attack decimated the Pacific Fleet, and fear raged in the minds of American citizens that the homeland might be attacked next.

Wanting to ease the rising fears of the citizenry, the American military planned and executed a daring raid of their own. Four months after the vicious attack at Pearl Harbor…
